Information About Our Faculty

Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture was established on April 25, 2013, as the seventh faculty of The University of Hitit. The faculty has started its activities at the undergraduate level by accepting students for the Departments of Painting and Music in the 2018-2019 academic year. With the unique structure of being a fresh faculty of a leading university, attempts of launching new departments are also ongoing.

An associate professor, three assistant professors and two research assistants work at The Faculty of Painting; an associate professor, two assistant professors, a lecturer and a research assistant work in The Department of Music; four research assistants work in The Department of Architecture and, an assistant professor works in the Department of Design of Textile and Fashion.

Today, about 225 students are registered to various departments in the Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture (please see below) from many cities of the country and the different countries of the World. Students have some advantages and opportunities like studying in workshops, libraries, multipurpose hall, as well as having programs such as double majors, minors and student exchanges. The faculty has also built-in cafeterias and a canteen for students. 

 The Mission

The mission of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture; to be active in the fields of art, design and architecture within the scope of education, education and training based on contemporary, free and professional knowledge; respects the society and the scientific world, dominate the technology, compete at national and international levels, act in accordance with the basic principles of art and creativity, open to development, creative, entrepreneurial and team work prone to art, culture, aesthetic consciousness developed, free and critical thinking contemporary artist and designer to train individuals.
